Story Line:-

 Shantanu Bagchi is the director of the Hindi-language spy thriller Mission Majnu, which will be released in 2023. Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta are the producers. The film, starring Sidharth Malhotra, takes place prior to and during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. Supporting roles are played by Rashmika Mandanna, Parmeet Sethi, Sharib Hashmi, Kumud Mishra, and Rajit Kapur.

The movie was delayed multiple times, first being released in theaters on May 13, 2022, and then on June 10, 2022, before being delayed indefinitely. The film's theatrical release was ultimately postponed, and on January 20, 2023, it was made available exclusively on Netflix.

Amandeep Singh IPS, a deep cover RAW field agent, is sent on an undercover mission to Pakistan to find out if Pakistan is involved in making nuclear weapons. He must cooperate with Aslam Usmaniya and Raman Singh, two additional Pakistani RAW agents, along the way. However, in order to prevent Israel from bombing the wrong location, India needed physical evidence in addition to just knowing where the nuclear factory was. He must maintain a balance between his professional and personal lives while traveling with his blind wife Nasreen.

The movie was first announced in December 2020; principal photography began in Lucknow in February 2021, and production commenced in September 2021.

The film received 3.5 stars from Bollywood Hungama, which described it as a "gripping saga" with "tight script, intelligent scenes, taut execution, and a memorable performance." "Sidharth is good in scenes where he is battling the stigma and pain of his past yet wants to move forward and show his loyalty to his country and team," Tushar Joshi wrote for India Today. Other than attempting to develop chemistry with Sid, Rashmika Mandanna has very little to do. The film received a rating of three out of five stars from Dhaval Roy of The Times of India, who stated that it is "gripping in parts, but it’s too convenient, which takes away from the narrative." The action is great, but it drags a bit and makes the movie seem formulaic. "Mission Majnu robs you of the thrills of a spy film," Dishya Sharma of News 18 wrote in her review. "The execution makes it a little too cloying for a thriller," Anuj Kumar wrote for The Hindu. "There are interesting twists in the way Tariq ekes out information and how Nasreen could sense the truth by touch." Fortunately, the film distinguishes between how Indira Gandhi and Morarji Desai handled their tenuous relationship with Pakistan in the 1970s and is not overtly egotistical. At the same time, the authors create characters on both sides of the border who are able to see past events beyond the polarizing narrative that politicians frequently present. "Mission Majnu does not deliver a thrill a minute nor does it produce any exceptional degree of tension and suspense," wrote NDTV's Saibal Chatterjee, who gave the film only two stars out of a possible five. However, certain scenes, particularly those in the second hour, do come to life. According to Shilajit Mitra, who wrote for The New Indian Express, "Mission Majnu isn’t as crudely jingoistic as something like Bhuj: The Indian Pride Additionally, the film does not address the moral ramifications of nuclear proliferation; for that, you should see the pilot of Rocket Young men."
