It is an official spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Satyameva Jayate and is based on the fight against injustice and power abuse. John Abraham plays a triple role, and Divya Khosla Kumar, Rajeev Pillai, and Anup Soni play important characters. Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases, the release date was delayed. The movie came out on November 25, 2021, and, in contrast to the original, it was a huge commercial failure.

Plot:-

In Uttar Pradesh, Satya Balram Azad serves as the home minister for a coalition government. He tries to pass a bill in the assembly to stop corruption, but his alliance partners won't let him. Interestingly, Vidya Azad, Satya's wife, is one of the MLAs who votes against the bill. She is Chandra Prakash's daughter and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. In the meantime, a state government hospital's doctors go on strike. A mother begs them to treat her accident-plagued daughter. The physician in charge of the strike declines. In front of the media and doctors who are protesting, the victim dies. In retaliation, a vigilante kills the doctor in charge of the strike on the same night. The strike is withdrawn because he died. In a flash, the vigilante becomes a hero. DCP Upadhyaya is instructed to locate the offender because Chandra Prakash is not impressed. Jay Balram Azad, Satya Balram Azad's twin brother, receives the case from the DCP. On the other hand, the state is rocked by another scandal when a lot of children get sick after eating in a Madrasa. There aren't enough oxygen cylinders available at the government hospital where they are admitted. As a result, forty of those kids die. Satya learns that Tripathi's relative provided the spoiled foodgrains. Additionally, a close associate of Shankar Prasad is in charge of providing oxygen to the government hospital. When Satya confronts them, Tripathi and Shankar, both members of the alliance party, threaten to withhold support. It has now come to light that Satya is the vigilante. He now kills Shankar and Tripathi. A third incident occurs a few days later, when a flyover in the state collapses. Madan Lal Joshi, the flyover contractor, refuses to accept responsibility. Jay and others arrive at the conclusion that the vigilante will kill him. The subsequent events shape the remainder of the film.

Response from critics:

The film received mixed reviews. According to Bollywood Hungama, "Satyameva Jayate 2 is a power packed mass entertainer with entertaining moments and bravura performance by John Abraham," the film received a rating of "4/5." "If you enjoy the massy masala fare of the bygone era and are willing to take on thrice as much of John Abraham in one frame, you can go indulge in this one," wrote Hiren Kotwani of The Times of India, giving the film a rating of 3/5. Eastern Eye's Murtuza Nullwala gave Satyameva Jayate 2 a 2/5 rating, stating that it "is an outdated film and doesn't entertain much." "Satyameva Jayate 2 starts with a picture of the Tricolor, and then over the next 138 minutes, the film batters us with ear-splitting background music, grotesque visuals, feeble dialogues that are desperate to land punches, and superbly hammy acting," wrote Anupama Chopra of Film Companion. News 18's Sonil Dedhia wrote, "My biggest question is why did the producers decide to put their hard-earned money into this project when Zaveri is known to make the tackiest of films." He criticized the film by calling the script "Tacky." "Satyamev Jayate 2 is an ugly exhibition of appeasement filmmaking, where a director is trying to tick off as many boxes of the audience he can appease, using the most tired tropes in the history of Hindi cinema," Tatsam Mukherjee wrote in her review for Firstpost, which gave the film a rating of 0/5.

The Indian Express' Shubhra Gupta gave the movie a 0.5/5 rating, writing, "Abraham strides through this thing with his standard mix of fixed-frown-and-swinging-fists." He only does the naked superhero role a few times, when he can take on anyone with a tiny dimpled nudge-wink. The remainder is a collection of stale stereotypes and poor storytelling, reinforcing the perilous notion that men delegate to themselves the authority to act as judge, jury, and executioner. Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV gave the film a rating of 1/5 and wrote, "The soundtrack is shoddy and ear-splitting." He also criticized the film's dialogue, characters, and soundtrack. It is evident that the dialogues were created by a third-rate rhymester. The characters howl rather than speak. "The shoddy cinematic qualities are only one aspect of Satyameva Jayate 2," he added. Additionally, the film promotes perilous notions of instantaneous justice and patriotism. Satyameva Jayate 2 is the most brazen misuse of the tricolor in Hindi film history; The purpose of the film is to justify the use of extrajudicial means to punish the corrupt by citing the national flag. In the end, it only harms the good name of the largest democracy in the world. Satyameva Jayate 2 was called a "loud, screeching, bloated mess" and a "film no one should have to tolerate" by Monika Rawal Kukreja of the Hindustan Times. She wrote, "In this movie, not a single person is speaking." Your ears are aching for some peace as everyone shouts and screams at the top of their lungs. Satyameva Jayate 2 is a shoddy and careless depiction of vigilantism and jingoism at their worst.

The Quint's Stutee Ghosh gave Satyameva Jayate 2 a one-out-of-five rating, writing, "All noise and no substance." "Satyameva Jayate 2 is mind-bogglingly, excruciatingly loud, on-the-nose, screechy, and melodramatic," she added. "Satyamev Jayate 2 has a dated circa 1990s script which won't find acceptance with today's generations," stated Rediff's Syed Firdaus Ashraf, who gave the film a rating of 1.5/5. He added, "The only saving grace in the film is a passable item song by Nora Fatehi, Kusu Kusu." "Despite being soaked in blood and tears, the cases of injustice have been so mechanically handled that they fail to evoke any empathy for the characters," Anuj Kumar wrote in The Hindu. So much so that even gratuitous references to women's safety and the secular fabric of society sound. "The director Zaveri throws everything in his powers at his barren canvas," wrote Scroll author Nandini Ramnath. The blaring music competes with the screamed rather than spoken dialogue. Zaveri hopes that the widespread tackiness will not be apparent by shooting the same scene from ten different perspectives, employing rapid zooms, and employing editing tricks.
